Professional packing for a home move

Packing that survives the van

Most damage on moves starts in the box, not on the road. Soft cartons, half-filled crates, and unwrapped glass are how you get a cracked plate and an argument. We bring double-walled boxes, paper, bubble wrap and wardrobe cartons, then pack room by room so the load stacks tight and labels match the rooms at the other end.

Book a full pack if you want the place emptied to the walls. Book a partial pack if you will do clothes and books yourself but want the kitchen and breakables done properly. Materials-only is fine if you like packing but hate the DIY store run.

  • Full home, selected rooms, or materials only
  • Fragile wrap for glass, mirrors, art and antiques
  • Room labels so unloading is not a guessing game
  • Optional unpack so the kettle is out on day one

What you can book

Pick the level that matches how much time you have before completion.

Full pack

We pack the property. You focus on keys, meters and the kids. Typical for family homes and anyone moving the same week they exchange.

  • All rooms, loft and garage contents you want moved
  • Materials included in the pack quote
  • Pairs cleanly with loading the next day or the same week

Partial pack

We take the rooms that slow people down: kitchens, china, glassware, loft clutter. You pack wardrobes and books at your own pace.

  • Common on two and three-bed London flats
  • Cheaper than a full pack, still protects the fragile stuff
  • Tell us which rooms are ours before we arrive

Materials only

Cartons, paper, tape and wardrobe boxes dropped off when you need them. We can collect empties after the move so you are not binning cardboard for a week.

  • Sized to your room count
  • Works if friends are helping you pack
  • Add a pack crew later if you run out of time

Unpack at the new place

Boxes into the right rooms, essentials out, packaging taken away if you want it gone. Useful when you have one day before work starts again.

  • Kitchen and bedroom first if you set the order
  • Furniture placement still follows your plan
  • Quote as an add-on to the move

How a packing day runs

Confirm the inventory

Room list, fragile items, and full vs partial. Photos of china cabinets and art help us bring enough wrap.

Materials on site

Double-walled cartons, paper, bubble wrap, tape, wardrobe boxes. We do not ask you to supply the kit for a paid pack.

Room by room

Boxes marked by room and rough contents. Kitchens and glass get more wrap time than books.

Ready for the van

Packed goods sit so the loading crew can stack without reopening boxes. Unpack optional at the new address.

Fragile and awkward items

Say what they are before we quote. Method and cover should match the risk.

Glass, mirrors, framed art

Corner protectors, wrap, and upright packing where the item needs it. Soft-packing a mirror flat under a mattress is how it snaps.

Antiques and heirlooms

Tell us age, value band if you know it, and weak points. Some pieces need custom crates we arrange separately.

TVs and electronics

Original boxes help. Without them we wrap screens and bag cables so you are not hunting HDMI leads at 11pm.

Kitchenware

Plates on edge, pans nested, liquids sealed or left behind. A rushed kitchen pack is the usual smash zone.

Packing often sits on the same quote as home removals or storage. One price, one crew diary.

Testimonials

What customers say about us

Excellent 4.9 out of 5 based on 310 reviews Trustpilot

pam mcguinness

We were screwed over by a different company and reached out to RP removals. They were fabulous. They picked our furniture after we were left in the lurch and were exceptionally professional and courteous.

Toby

Just moved with RP. Good price, not the cheapest we found but toward the lower end. Team were very, very helpful in the office prior to moving day. Vlad and the team packed without issue.

Maggie Stanforth

Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were efficient, polite and respectful. They went the extra mile to ensure furniture was where we wanted it. We would thoroughly recommend them.

Packing FAQs

Can I pack some rooms myself?

Yes. Partial packing is normal. We take kitchens, breakables or the loft while you do clothes and books. Mark which rooms are ours so nobody double-packs.

Do you supply materials only?

Yes. We drop cartons and wrap ahead of your DIY pack and can collect empties afterwards.

Are antiques and art covered?

Fragile and high-value pieces get specialist wrapping. Tell us what they are so the method matches. Very high-value items may need agreed cover details before the day.

How long does a full pack take?

A one-bed can be a short day. A family home often needs a full day or more. We estimate from room count and clutter level when we quote.

Can packing happen on moving day?

Sometimes, on smaller jobs. Larger homes are safer with packing the day before so loading starts clean. We will say which fits your dates.
